Angela Renee Stukey, age 51, of Sturgis, was welcomed home Thursday evening, October 7, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, to be with her Heavenly Father and Family.
She was born, a twin, August 8, 1970 in Coldwater, daughter of the late Melvin and Karen (Fraylick) Stukey.
Angela worked for 17 years at Hubbard Feeds in Shipshewana, and prior to that at Dometic, Sturgis Hospital and Hardings where she made many new friends.
Angela had a true zest for life and a talent for making people laugh. She had an appreciation for family, music, movies and animals.
She is survived by one daughter: Faith Hazlewood of Sturgis; one son: Joshua Hazlewood of Sturgis; two brothers: Jeffrey (Mary Jo) Stukey of Caledonia and Jon Stukey of Egg Harbor City, New Jersey; one sister: Christine (Duane) Gonser of Sturgis; Nieces, a Nephew and “adopted” children’s friends that came to know her as “Mom”.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, October 14 at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis where a memorial service celebrating and honoring her life of Angela R. Stukey will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, Oct. 15th, at Hackman Chapel. Pastor Michael Cary will officiate.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be directed to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St., New York, New York 10016.
