Booster clinics planned in Coldwater and Three Rivers

The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency is offering Pfizer vaccine booster doses to residents who previously received two doses of Pfizer vaccine, with the second dose being at least six months ago.

Agency officials said at least one of the following criteria also must be met: 65 years of age or older, 18 or older with underlying medical conditions, or working in a high-risk setting such as first responders, education staff, food and agriculture workers, corrections officers, or public-transit employees.

Individuals who received Moderna or Johnson & Johnson shots should not seek a Pfizer booster dose. The FDA and CDC will be giving additional direction as to when those booster shots will be needed.

The agency will be hosting larger scale community booster clinics in coming weeks. A booster dose can be scheduled online at bhsj.org/scheduling. Clinics this week will include 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday in Coldwater and 9 to 1 p.m. Thursday in Three Rivers.
