Clarence Carl McClain Jr., age 67, of Three Rivers, died Thursday, September 30, 2021 peacefully at Ascension Borgess Hospital from complications of COVID.
He was born in Three Rivers on December 14, 1953 to Clarence Carl McClain Sr. and Willadean Jean (Romig) McClain.
He worked maintenance most of his life and retired from Mid-American Electro-Cords after 14 years. He loved being outside, hunting, fishing, working on cars, watching NASCAR, and spending time with his family. And especially spending time and travelling with his grandson – Logan Slavings. He loved driving his jeep, being up North and seeing nature.
Remaining to cherish his memory are his sister, Debbie (Roberts) McClain and brother-in-law Frank Roberts; brother, Larry McClain and wife Missy; son, Nicky McClain and Stacey of Kentucky; daughter, Dena (Shelton) McClain of Three Rivers; son, Scot McClain of Three Rivers; son, Kevin Carpenter; daughter, Tarri Jo (Pulley) Avery and John Pulley Sr. of Sturgis; daughter, Mickey (Slavings) McClain and Nathan Marunde of Sturgis; son-in-law, Larry Slavings of Constantine; several nieces and nephews; several grand and great grandchildren; a huge number of cousins; his partner of 27 years, Shanon Roberts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Sr. and Willadean McClain; sisters, Betty Ballard (McClain), Donna McKee (McClain); and brothers, Roger McClain and Ricky McClain.
In accordance with family wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned at this time.
