Jenva Lee Petravich, age 85, a lifelong resident of Sturgis, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
She was born November 15, 1935 in St. Joseph County, MI a daughter to the late Frank and Vera (Dolamore) Stroup.
Jenva was a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1953.
On December 24, 1975 in LaGrange, she married Raymond J. Petravich Sr. He preceded her in death Sept. 13, 2005.
She had been employed in the offices of Arch Inc., in Sturgis where she retired in 2005 after 10 years. She also worked for Pattersons Supper Club and Paramount.
Jenva enjoyed trips to the casino, bingo, relaxing out on the lake, tanning, shopping, visits with pastor, family get togethers, and she had a love and passion for flowers. Most of all she loved and cherished the time with her family and friends.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis.
Surviving are two sons: Raymond (Carnetta) Petravich Jr., of Sturgis, and Shane Petravich and fiancé Rochelle Rocha of Mesa, Arizona. Three daughters: Debra (Roy) Reaper of Sturgis, Deanna (Steve) Whitt of Burr Oak, and Kerry (Lester) Butler of Sturgis; 15 grandchildren, several great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son: OK Lunger III, one daughter: Kelly Kyle, one grandson: Tristan Petravich, and one sister: Marlene Dolamore.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jenva’s Hospice and regular nurses who shared their love and support with the family over the course of Jenva’s failing health.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091.
Funeral Services celebrating the life of Jenva Lee Petravich will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis, with Rev. Calvin J. Kolzow Jr., officiating.
Interment and graveside services will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations in her memory may be directed to Hackman Family Funeral Homes who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
