A Kalamazoo man was arrested after violating a personal-protection order last week in Three Rivers.
Officers from the Three Rivers Police Department were called to the 600 block of 6th Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Friday in response to a report of a vehicle theft in progress. The suspects left the scene after being confronted by a school staff member but they later returned.
Nearby Three Rivers High School and the middle school were put on temporary lockdown due to the relatively close proximity of the incident.
A 36-year-old man was charged with PPO violation, assault, resisting and obstructing officers, and domestic assault, according to Three Rivers authorities.
