Tootie Blondia, 81

Pearl Leone “Tootie” Blondia, age 81, of Centreville, and longtime Sturgis resident, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 12, 2021 at Fairview Living and Rehabilitation in Centreville.
She was born May 7, 1940 in Coldwater, daughter of the late Lyle Edwin and Viola May (Collins) Tilden.
Tootie resided most of her life in Sturgis.
She had been employed by Grumman Olson and a local cleaning service in Sturgis and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Life in Christ Church of God and loved her cat.
Tootie is survived by two grandsons: Justin Allen of Elkhart and Jesse Allen of Centreville; five great grandchildren; one sister: Margaret Enos of Coldwater; one brother: Roger Tilden of Sturgis and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Barbara Jean Allen; brother: Paul Eugene Tilden and sisters: Nora Morford and Ellen Bennett.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes in Sturgis where funeral services celebrating the life of Pearl “Tootie” Blondia will begin at 2:00 P.M. Saturday. Private burial will take place at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak.
Memorial donations would be appreciated to the charity of one’s own choice.
