Dalia K. Padgurskis, age 69, of Sturgis, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born January 12, 1952 in Canberra, Australia, daughter of the late Adolphus and Genovaite (Mykolaitis) Baltaragis.
On December 11, 1971 she married Charles Dennis Padgurskis at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Cicero, Illinois.
Following 26 years of dedicated employment with the Chicago Police Department, she retired as a Lieutenant. In 2004, Dalia moved from Chicago to Lake Templene near Sturgis.
Dalia served on the board of the Lake Templene Property Owners Association for over 12 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, giving to others, and caring for her beloved pets, Rocky, Ranger, and Addie.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 50 years, Charles Dennis; two daughters, Natalie (Matthew) Kwit of Vermont and Lorin (Paul) Clark of Kalamazoo; two sons, Charles David (Patricia) Padgurskis of Chicago and Steven (Vicki) Collins of Sturgis; five grandchildren; and one brother, Audrius Baltaragis of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ramunas Baltaragis.
The family will receive friends 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, November 19 at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd. Sturgis where a scripture service will begin at 7:00 P.M. In accordance with her wishes cremation will follow the service.
