Rodney Easterday, 73

Rodney James Easterday, age 73, of Three Rivers, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, November 29, 2021 following a lengthy illness. He was born on June 12, 1948 in Fawn River Township, the son of the late James Easterday and Gertrude Verglea (Hamm) Gotfryd.

Rodney has been a longtime resident of Three Rivers working as a truck driver at Weyerhaeuser Paper Company / International Paper for a total of thirty years before his retirement. Rodney was an avid golfer, scoring a hole in one on his birthday one year, and loved traveling with his longtime companion Molly Higgins who preceded him in death. Rodney also received his Associates of Applied Science in Business Degree from Glen Oaks Community College.

Rodney leaves to cherish his loving memory, one daughter, Erika (David Parkhill) Easterday of Kalamazoo, and one step-daughter, Heather (John) Kelly, of New Market, Alabama; 5 step-grandsons Ian (Sarah) Kelly, of Joint Base Lewis McCord, Washington; Sheamus (Savannah) Kelly of Ft. Knox, Kentucky, Kieran, Declan, and Aidan, of Huntsville, Alabama; 2 step-great-grandchildren Walter and Saoirse.

Graveside services for Mr. Rodney Easterday and Ms. Molly Higgins will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Peek Cemetery.
