United Way sponsoring weekly event for students

St. Joseph County United Way is sponsoring a weekly event appealing to students from sixth through twelfth grades.

Billed as the “Saturday Night Free For All,” the Saturday night attraction offers an open gym at the Doyle Center in Sturgis. Basketball, volleyball, soccer, wallyball and tennis will be setup and ready to go, available to any participant.

The open gym is available to students in sixth through eighth grades 7 to 9 p.m., and ninth through twelfth grades 9 p.m. to midnight every Saturday through February.

There is no cost to participate and registration is not necessary. It is open to all St. Joseph County students.
