Yem Dim, age 84, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at ProMedica Skilled Nursing And Rehabilitation (Three Rivers), with family at her side.
She was born in Cambodia on April 2, 1937, the daughter of the late Mao and Heang Dim.
Yem had a wonderful smile, was kind, gracious and loving. She lived her life to the fullest making lasting memories. She enjoyed traveling, shopping and having fun. She was a wonderful cook and was always happy to have friends and family at her table. Above all, Yem loved her family. She was especially fond of spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Yem will be missed by all who loved her. She was united in marriage to Hoeung Thach who preceded her in passing.
She is survived by six loving children, Nara (Sothang) Soth, Sophal Hoeung, Sina (Sokunthea) Hoeung, Somphose Sandra (Lam) Huynh, Sino (Seikagna) Hoeung, Veasna (Sakona) Hoeung; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers, MI 49093, on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. On Saturday, November 27, 2021, a gathering of family and friends will begin at the family home, 15361 Coon Hollow Rd., Three Rivers, MI 49093, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.; a funeral service at Hohner Funeral Home will follow from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, c/o the funeral home.
