Leon Griffin, age 91, of White Pigeon, died on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis following an extended illness.
Born on November 6, 1930 in Fayette, Alabama the Son of Charles Fletcher and Julie Ann (Kitchen) Griffin. Veteran of The US Airforce, moved to Middlebury in 1952 and Constantine in 1962.
Employed by the White Pigeon Paper Mill 1947 to 1993. Member of the Bible Baptist Church in Constantine. He enjoyed walking, gardening, motorcycle riding, and Country Music. Trips on his bike to music festivals in Tennessee.
Married to Evelyn Hyche on May 22, 1947 in Jasper, Alabama, She died on August 20, 2014.
He is survived by his Children Brenda (Bob) Price, Joyce (Gary) Price, and Shirley (Dennis) Holtzinger, Dan Griffin, Randy (Nancy) Griffin. 10 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Several Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in Death by His Parents, Wife, Daughter Sandra Comstock, 1 Sister and 2 Brothers.
Visitation 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday and 10:00 AM to 11:00 Am on Tuesday at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon where Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 7, 2021 with The Pastor Paul Pierucki of The Constantine Bible Baptist Church officiating.
Interment in Constantine Township Cemetery.
