Back-to-back storms that devastated portions of St. Joseph County was deemed the top local news story of 2021, according to the Sturgis Journal.

The sentencing of former prosecutor John McDonough was No. 6, followed by the Pride flag issue at Three Rivers Community Schools, Sturgis’ plan to add a roundabout and the opening of several marijuana-related businesses in the county. No. 10 was the controversy related to the state of the Tasty Nut Shop building in White Pigeon.
