Donald A Shank, age 80, died on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Spectrum Rehab in Grand Rapids surrounded by his Family and wife of 60 years following an extended illness.
He was born on January 7, 1942 in Elkhart, the Son of Donald N and Fern (Bartmess) Shank. Resident of Grand Rapids since April 2021 coming from White Pigeon where he lived for 55 years. Employed by The Conrail Railroad from 1963 until his retirement in 1998. Member of The World Wide Church of God. He enjoyed Beekeeping, Wildflowers, and Fishing.
Married to Billie Ruth Erdmann on September 7, 1963, she survives with his Children Michael, Andrew, and Kerry Shank. Grandchildren Madeline and Michael Shank. Sister Sally (Gil) Stump, Brother Lawton Shank, Several Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in Death by his Parents, Son Steven Shank and Seven Brothers and Sisters.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon where Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 14, 2022, with interment in White Pigeon Township Cemetery.
