Dora M. Patterson, age 88, of Centreville, passed away early Friday morning January 21, 2022 at Fairview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Centreville.
She was born November 22, 1933 in Findley, Michigan daughter of the late Charles W. & Anna Elittie (Osborn) Bellaire.
Dora resided most of her life in Sturgis. Her early life was spent in LaGrange.
Dora had been employed as a cook and owned and operated a carnival amusement company.
She is survived by her sister: Catherine Aiken of Sturgis; half-sisters: Mildred Bellaire of Three Rivers and Frances Phillips of Alabama; step-sister: Elaine Brennan of Niles; step-brother: Earl Baldwin of White Pigeon; special longtime friend: Joyce Barnett Wygant of Sturgis and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Eleanor Straw, Agnes Bellaire, Edith Spangle and Cleo Cox and two brothers: Paul Bellaire and Phillip Bellaire.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. Friday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis where funeral services will begin at 1:00 P.M. Private burial will take place at the Burr Oak Cemetery.
