Blue Gate nominated for Theater of the Year

A local concert venue has been nominated for the award of “Theater of the Year.”

The Academy of Country Music on Thursday announced all nominations for the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards, honoring country music’s biggest stars and emerging talents.

Included in the nominees is Theater of the Year. Among the five nominations is Blue Gate Performing Arts Center in Shipshewana. Its co-nominees are venues in Lancaster, Pa., Cincinnati, Clearwater, Fla., and Nashville.

Winners will be announced March 7 during the awards show.
