Country club break-in suspect located

Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched Sunday to Coldwater Country Club in response to a breaking-and-entering incident.

According to an agency media release, investigators arrived and found evidence of forced entry.

Troopers obtained video footage, which provided a description of an adult male subject entering the building. A state police canine unit was summoned to assist troopers with searching the building and tracking suspects who may have fled from the scene.

A potential suspect was tracked to the area of River Road and Burch Road.

A witness driving through the area stopped and advised troopers a male subject had flagged the motorist down in the vicinity. The witness further advised the suspect asked the witness for a ride to the Shell Station on Western Avenue.

Troopers quickly responded to the location and located a male subject matching the description from the breaking and entering. He was found in possession of stolen items taken from the Coldwater Country Club.
