Grace E. Green, age 94, of Millersburg, Indiana, died on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Northwoods Village in Kalamazoo. She was born June 30, 1927 in Elkhart, a daughter of William and Rosa. Grace graduated from Concord High School and married Archie Green in Kentucky. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2008.
Grace retired from Industrial Lamp in Elkhart after 16 years of service where she worked as a press operator. Following retirement she worked as a greeter at Meijer in Dunlap, Indiana. She also was known as the play lady at Elkhart General Hospital volunteering for the children.
Grace was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, helping on the family farm and enjoyed camping with her family. Grace’s family was the center of her life.
Surviving are her son Dennis (Jackie) Green, Pueblo, CO, daughter Debra (Douglas) Bontrager, Sturgis, grandchildren Clifford Green, David (Inessa) Green, Sam (Laura) Green, Becky (Brad) Barnett, Daniel (Nikki) Green, Jessie Green, Katie Green, Jay Green, Will (Cindy) Green, Anita (Colin) Huff, Amber (Andrew) Langdon, Candace Green, Dwight (Patricia) Bontrager, DeAnna Fairchild, Melissa (Fernando) Moreno, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 1 great great great grandchild, brother Fred Gilreath, Dundee, FL and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Timothy Green, brother Edward Weise, and sisters Hildeguard Hurt and May Deisinger.
Relatives and friends will be received at Firm Foundation Ministries, 651 E. Main St. Centreville, on Wednesday, February 9th, from 2 to 6 pm.
Religious services will be held at the church on Thursday, the 10th. at 11:30 AM. Pastor Don Smith will officiate.
