Jean Osbon, 89

Willa Jean “Billie” Osbon, age 97, a lifelong Sturgis resident, passed away Thursday, Feb. 10, 2022 at her home with family by her side.
She was born March 1, 1924 in Sturgis, a daughter to the late George and Anna (Schragg) Osbon.
Billie had been employed at a dental office for 15 years and retired from Porter’s Drug Store in Sturgis in 1993.
She enjoyed reading, embroidery, needlework, gardening, flowers, and just being busy. She was the Matriarch of the Osbon family and was dedicated to the Lord and served Him her entire life.
Surviving are two nephews: David Osbon of White Pigeon, and Charles Osbon of Sturgis; one niece: Brenda Leonard of White Pigeon; 9 great-nieces and nephews; 23 great-great-nieces and nephews; and 10 great-great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Gerald “Jerry” Osbon, and one niece: Barbara Jean Osbon.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, and from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM on Thursday Feb. 17, 2022, at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd. Sturgis, MI 49091.
Services celebrating the life of Willa Jean “Billie” Osbon will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Harger, officiating.
Interment and graveside services will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be directed to the charity of one’s choice, envelopes are available at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
