Joyce Harris, 77

Joyce Kay Harris, age 77, of Sturgis, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at her home.
She was born April 25, 1944 in Bristol, Indiana daughter of the late Jennings G. and Bonita (Kelley) McKibbin.
Joyce resided in Sturgis since 1981 coming from Mottville.
She was a homemaker and cared for her grandchildren.
Joyce enjoyed movies and never tired of watching Little House on the Prairie. She also enjoyed time in the outdoors, flower gardening, feeding the birds and had a special appreciation for rabbits. She was a true fan of Elvis Presley. Joyce loved time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by three daughters: Kristine Cox and Joyce (Tom) Nisley both of Sturgis and Tammy Douangmala of Goshen; three sons: Eric (Penny) Blood of Goshen, and Rodney (Candice) Norman and Jeffrey (Brenda) Wanamaker both of Sturgis; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother: Robert (Leslie) McKibbin of Shipshewana, Indiana and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Jadine Stone; brother: Gerald McKibbin and fiancée: Rick Sweet.
In accordance with family wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Joyce Kay Harris will take place from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, Feb. 27th at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis.
