A 41-year-old Three Rivers man was arrested on drug-related charges after he attempted to elude authorities last week.
Sheriff Mark Lillywhite said deputies attempted to stop a vehicle at 8 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 63000 block of Lutz Road in Florence Township. The vehicle stopped briefly but its driver sped away and led authorities on a seven-mile pursuit in which speeds exceeded 100 miles per hour.
Officers with Three Rivers Police Department assisted by deploying stop sticks when the suspect vehicle entered the city limits.
Meanwhile, pursuing deputies observed the suspect throw possible narcotics and related evidence from their vehicle during the pursuit. The 41-year-old suspect was arrested in the 1200 Block of Hov Aire Drive.
He was charged with possession of meth, possession of oxycodone, fleeing and eluding, destruction of evidence and parole violation, authorities said.
