Police arrest suspect after shots fired

A 43-year-old Constantine man was charged this week with assault and intent to murder, according to the Three Rivers Police Department.

Officers were notified at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday of shots fired in the 500 block of Maple Street.

The caller stated that a neighboring residence may have been struck by the gunfire. Officers arrived and confirmed a house with multiple bullet holes.

Two men were inside at the time of the incident but no one was injured.

A suspect was quickly identified and a description of the suspect’s vehicle was gathered.

Officers coordinated with the Constantine Police Department and the suspect vehicle was observed in Constantine. The driver was taken into custody shortly thereafter.
