Two arrested in domestic disturbance

Sturgis Police Department officers arrested two people last weekend following a report of domestic disturbance.

According to a department media release, officers were called at 1:45 a.m. Sunday to the 600 block of South Orange Street in response to a subject with a stab wound.

Officers found a 45-year-old man had been stabbed. A 32-year-old woman fled the scene on foot as officers arrived. She was quickly apprehended.

Further investigation showed the two had been in a dispute and assaulted each other.

The woman was charged with felonious domestic assault and misdemeanor domestic assault. The man was charged with domestic assault, police said.
