Lorene “Lori” Fuehrmeyer (nee Emig), age 93, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022.
Lori is survived by her children: James (Jean) Fuehrmeyer, John (Linda) Fuehrmeyer, Michael (Sandy) Fuehrmeyer, Karen (James) DeBord, Carole (Nicholas) Laugavitz; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Lori was preceded in death by her husband, James Fuehrmeyer; parents: Freeland and Hazel Emig; sister, Georgia Birchett.
Lori was formerly a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and currently attended Crown of Life Chapel at Wittenberg Village Lutheran Home. She was a parish nurse at St. Peter’s Church in Three Rivers, following her retirement as an ER hospital nurse with 40+ years in the South Suburbs of Chicago, primarily at Ingall’s Memorial Hospital. Lori was also a former member of the American Nurse’s Association.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 12:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Cory Wielert officiating. Family requires masks to be worn.
Interment will take place at a later date at Marcellus Township Cemetery in Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Lori’s name to Wittenberg Village Crown of Life Chapel in Crown Point, IN.
