Martin Bilecki, age 73, of Burr Oak, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 2, 2022 at his home.
He was born April 1, 1948 in Chicago, son of the late Martin Joseph and Alice P. (Bulinski) Bilecki.
Martin resided in rural Burr Oak for the past 24 years coming from Alsip, Illinois.
He was married to Kasse Ann Sasek who preceded him in death August 31, 2002.
Most of Martin’s working life was in the auto body and mechanical repair industry. He had also worked as a brick mason laborer and for Shimp Excavating in Bronson.
Martin had a true appreciation and passion for classic automobiles and had collections of most anything automobile related. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors around his property that he loved.
He is survived by two daughters: Michele (her fiancé Daniel Cavanaugh) Repp and Kathleen (John) Coup both of Sturgis; one son: Jack (Sharon) Birkholtz of Fulton; seven grandchildren: Kelly (Billy), Mark, Martin (Kari), Kathleen, Zachary, Jacob and Elizabeth and six great grandchildren: Holden, Laelah, Mo, Will, Cam and Liam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and son-in-law: Mark Repp, Sr., and aunt: Irene Bulinski.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
