Nash named Three Rivers superintendent

Three Rivers Community Schools on Monday named Nikki Nash its permanent superintendent.

Nash had served as interim superintendent since fall, when Ron Moag left the district to pursue other opportunities.

Following the vote, Nash told board members she was excited to be the new permanent superintendent.

Nash sad she never intended to be in the position she has found herself, but said she is fortunate to have the opportunity to oversee the district where she has spent the balance of her professional career.

Nash has worked in various capacities in Three Rivers, including teacher, principal and curriculum director. She underwent an interview earlier this month and was the only person considered for the position.

The board set her salary at $135,000 annually and her contract expires after the 2023-24 academic year.
