February’s unemployment rate in St. Joseph County remained unchanged from the previous month.
The monthly labor-market analysis by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget was released recently. It showed St. Joseph County’s unemployment rate remained 3.9 percent for the second consecutive month.
Meanwhile, Cass County experienced an increase in its unemployment figures from January to February. Its January rate was 4.4 percent and increased to 4.5 percent a month later.
Also, Branch County’s one-month unemployment rate rose in February from the previous month. It, too, was 4.4 percent in January and rose to 4.5 percent in February.
Michigan’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for February was 5.3 percent, up from 5.1 percent in January.
