Dawn Belden, 62

Dawn A. Belden, age 62, of Vicksburg, died Friday, April 1, 2022 in Decatur, MI. She was born in Lansing on April 25, 1959 and was the daughter of Duane and Patricia (Betke) Smith. Dawn grew up while living at Barton Lake, and graduated from Vicksburg High School. She enjoyed being on the water at Barton Lake and spending time in the great outdoors. She also enjoyed gardening and bird-watching and travels across the country. Dawn had worked at the Kalamazoo Regional Psychiatric Hospital, as a waitress at the Kalamazoo Airport, and at Triple S Plastics in Vicksburg. She also did in-home care for the ADAPT program.

Dawn is survived by two daughters, Patricia Rea (Michael Hunter, Jr.) of Fulton and Stephanie Belden of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren, Courtney Belden, Landen Van De Wege, Savvy Rea, Daviyon Van De Wege, Janie Rea, Charlie Rea, Abby Hunter, and Logan Hunter; one great-grandchild, Walter; and her faithful dog, Cody.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been conducted. A memorial service will be held at 11 am Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Memorial donations will be directed to the family. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com
