Michael Lytle, 69

Michael Richard Lytle, age 69, of Sturgis, went to his heavenly home be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 10, 1953 in Sturgis, a son to Elmer and Doris (Seeley) Lytle.
Michael graduated from White Pigeon High School with the class of 1971, and furthered his education at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant where he received his B.S. degree.
He has been a resident of the Sturgis and White Pigeon area all of his life.
On Aug. 23, 1975 in Sturgis, he married Betty Pike, the love of his life. They have been happily married for 46 years. Michael and Betty were high school sweethearts for 4 years and have shared 50 years together.
Michael was a dedicated employee at Burr Oak Tool & Gauge as a computer programmer for over 40 years and retired in 2019.
He was a kind hearted family man who served the Lord. Michael loved spending time with his grandchildren, and attending their sporting events, this brought him great joy. It was also a well known fact that he was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan.
Surviving are his wife Betty; 2 children: Jason (Tosha) Lytle and Sonja (Brian) Duffy both of Sturgis; 6 grandchildren: Mackenzie Lytle, Mason Lytle, Machiah Lytle, Ella Duffy, Camden Duffy, and Claira Duffy; and his mother: Doris Lytle of White Pigeon.
He was preceded in death by his father: Elmer Lytle and a son: Benjamin Lytle.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091.
Funeral Services celebrating the life of Michael R. Lytle will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, at Grace Church, 300 Timothy St., Sturgis, MI 49091 with Pastors Luke Eicher and Ross Gerber, officiating.
Interment and graveside services will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, lunch will be offered at Grace Church afterwards. Memorial donations may be directed to Grace Church or Thurston Woods Village, envelopes are available at the Hackman Family Funeral Homes who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
