Michael Parker, 68

Michael A. Parker, age 68, of Centreville, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Three Rivers Health. He was born in Three Rivers on November 13, 1953, a son of William and LetaMae (Bickle) Parker. Michael graduated from Centreville High School in 1971 and then received his Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and Technology from Glen Oaks in 1999. While at Glen Oaks, Mike made the Dean’s list and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society. He also took several courses at Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Indiana University at South Bend.

He first worked for Meyer Hydraulics in Centreville and then spent many years at Peterson Springs in Three Rivers. Michael also worked for Precision Speed in Sturgis, before transferring to Weber Specialties in Schoolcraft, where he retired from in 2019. Michael enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, grilling, and playing the guitar. He recently got into making his own pastas and breads. His favorite thing was talking about his grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Surviving are his daughter Heather Parker of Powell, TN; grandchildren Brianna (Austin) Pratt and Jade Blount; brothers Gary (Lisa) Parker, Kenneth W. Parker, and Russell L. (Karen) Parker, all of Centreville; great granddaughter Ella Mae Pratt; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received at Eley Funeral Home in Centreville, on Monday, April 18 from 5 to 6 PM, with a memorial service beginning at 6 PM, with Pastor Randy Evans officiating.
