Sturgis plans interviews for city commission seat

Sturgis City Commission members will interview two candidates for a vacant seat on the council, prior to its regular meeting Wednesday.

Following commissioner Karl Littman’s resignation, city officials sought applications for the appointment to the unexpired term of the Precinct 4 commissioner. Frank Perez and Luis Perez are the two applicants for the vacancy.

Candidates will be interviewed starting at 5 p.m., through a work session. A decision to appoint will take place at the April 27 city commission meeting, with appointees sitting for their first meeting May 11.
