Cynthia Sue (Garrison) Richardson, age 67, of Sturgis, passed away early Tuesday evening, May 17, 2022 at her home.
She was born March 8, 1955 in LaGrange, daughter of the late James Thomas and Betty Jane (Wyncoop) Garrison.
Cynthia resided in Sturgis the past 36 years coming from Bluffton, Indiana. Most of her working life was as a nurse’s aide. She had been employed by Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis and Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home in LaGrange.
She enjoyed playing games on her phone, watching television and most anything dealing with sci-fi.
Cynthia is survived by three daughters: Angie Garrison and Tonya Garrison, both of Sturgis, and Brandy Robison of Galesburg; one son: Shawn Allen Lung of Sturgis; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and expecting #12; one sister: Rosalie (Donald) Jordan of LaGrange, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons: Justin Barnell and Justice Garrison; two sisters: Becky Lung and Victoria Bowman and two brothers: Michael and Darwin Garrison.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating and honoring the life of Cynthia Sue (Garrison) Richardson will be held at a later date to be announced.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial donations would be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
