Here’s a message from Laura Brott, collaborative coordinator for St. Joseph County Human Services Commission.

First, Glen Oaks Community College has ended its weekly COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinic.

Free COVID testing is still available locally, however. It is offered 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Community Mental Health parking lot in Centreville. It is also offered 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Fridays at the Three Rivers Health Department.

No appointment or physician’s order needed.

Next, Brott said the Riverside Kids diaper bank in Three Rivers has closed. Diapers are available through the Pregnancy Helpline in Three Rivers and Sturgis.

Finally, the date for the 2022 St. Joseph County Project Connect and Veteran Stand Down has been set.

It will take place 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 7 at the county fairgrounds. Sign-ups will start later this month.
