Sharon Bowerman, 70

Sharon L. Bowerman, age 70, of Constantine, passed away Sunday evening, May 8, 2022 at her home.
She was born April 22, 1952 in Sturgis.
Sharon resided in Constantine for the past 43 years coming from Three Rivers.
She was a graduate of Centreville High School with the class of 1970 and furthered her education at Glen Oak Community College in Centreville where she earned an Associate Degree.
On April 13, 1972 she married Edward Dean Bowerman in Angola.
She had been employed by GTE for several years and owned and operated Best Friends Dog and Cat Grooming.
Sharon had a true love for animals and enjoyed gardening, bird watching and working with stained glass.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 50 years: Dean; daughters: Jennifer Bowerman of Paw Paw and Michelle Bowerman of Mattawan; grandchildren: Sydney and Brody Hofstra; sisters: Susan Kirby and Sheila Wurtsbaugh both of Centreville; brother: David Wurtsbaugh of Mendon and niece and nephews: Lisa Kirby, Nicholas Kirby and Benjamin Kirby.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Lois Elaine (Bupp) Wurtsbaugh.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate and honor the life of Sharon L. Bowerman will be held at Oak Lawn Park in Sturgis at a later date to be announced. Private burial will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
The Hackman Family Funeral Homes of Sturgis is entrusted with the arrangements.
In honoring Sharon’s love for animals the family suggests memorial donations be directed to the Animal Rescue Fund, P.O. Box 593, Centreville, MI 49032.
