William George Mayuiers, age 89, of Nottawa Township, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Skaggs Adult Foster Care in Burr Oak. He was born in Tolleston, IN on June 18, 1932, a son of George and Mary (Rudnicki) Mayuiers. He graduated from Tolleston High School in 1950 and later obtained an electrical degree. On September 13, 1952 he married Sarah Runions in Gary, IN. She preceded him in death on May 20, 2008.
William worked as an electrician for Gary Steel and Tin in Indiana, Continental Can in Three Rivers, and finally Armstrong International in Three Rivers, from where he retired. He was a member of the Centreville United Methodist Church, Three Rivers Eagles, Three Rivers Lion’s Club, Yapper Campers, St. Joseph County Conservation Club, Crime Stoppers and American Patriot Singers. William was a true outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, woodworking, and carving. He loved to tinker and was known as “Mr. Fix-It”.
Surviving William are his daughter Kathy Pangle of Mendon; son William Jeffrey (Julie) Mayuiers of Mendon; son Paul (Lois) Mayuiers, Sturgis; grandchildren Christina (Steve) Collins, Matthew (Miranda) Mayuiers, Bethany Mayuiers, Justin (Roianne) Pangle, Heather (Trevor) Kline, Tyler (Sarah) Pangle, Spencer Mayuiers, Hannah Mayuiers, and Tessa Mayuiers; and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son-in-law Don Pangle, and sister Florence Dziewicki.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family memorial services will occur and interment of ashes will be in Prairie River Cemetery, Centreville.
