Jerry Bernard Crawford, age 83, of Sierra Vista, AZ died at the home of his daughter Tina, on June 12, 2022.
Jerry was born on October 24, 1938, in Kalamazoo to Carl William and Beatrice N. (Slocum) Crawford.
Jerry retired from Upjohn Pharmaceuticals where he had worked in water treatment maintenance.
He was a United States Navy veteran serving both as active and in the reserves from 1956-1962.
On November 26, 1975, in Kalamazoo, he married Jeanie Caldwell; Mrs. Crawford preceded him in death on November 23, 2019.
Surviving are three daughters; Becky (Clay) Dark of Paw Paw, Stacy (Dean) Shaddy of Flagstaff, AZ, Tina (Bob) Geering of Sierra Vista, AZ, four sons; Doug McKenzie of Irons, MI, Derek (Vicky) Crawford of Plainwell, John (Kathy) McKenzie of Burr Oak, Gary McKenzie of Sturgis, and a grandson whom he raised, Michael (Laura) McKenzie of Elkhart; 24 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death along with his wife, were his parents, Carl and Beatrice Crawford; and three brothers, Larry, Lynn, and Sam Crawford.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 23, 2022, from 12 pm (noon) until the service time at 2:00 pm. The visitation and service will be held at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, IN.
Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, where military rites will be conducted.
