Sharon Kay Sailor-Pignato, age 57, of Wolcottville, Indiana, was received into her Heavenly fathers arms on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 after a brief bout with cancer.
Sharon was born November 14, 1964 in Elkhart, a daughter of Ted and Ruth (Rank) Sailor. Sharon graduated from Constantine High School in 1983, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She also received awards for her art skills. Sharon then attended travel agent school in Pittsburg, after which she worked for American Express Airlines at O’Hare airport in Chicago. She met her husband Glenn Pignato through a mutual friend, and were married in March of 1989. Sharon and Glenn resided in Wolcottville. She was employed at a bank in Kendalville, and enjoyed gardening, watching birds and country living.
Surviving are her husband Glenn Pignato, parents Ted and Ruth Sailor, sister Janell (John) Mechling, brother John Sailor, nephews Josh Mechling and Jacob (Courtney) Mechling, and several aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her. Sharon was preceded in death by her grandparents George and Alma Sailor, Dale and Elenora Rank and uncle Pastor Paul Runyon.
Relatives and friends will be received Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 2 to 4 pm at Three Rivers Bible Church, 220 N. Erie St. Three Rivers, MI. A memorial service will follow at 4 pm with Pastor Gary Graham and Pastor Steve Runyon officiating. Matthew 11:28 Come to Me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest – Jesus
