Attempted break-in in Quincy

Michigan State Police troopers are investigating an attempted breaking-and-entering incident that occurred earlier this week in Branch County.

According to a department media release, troopers were called early Monday to a location on West Jefferson Street in the village of Quincy.

The homeowner told authorities someone around 1:30 a.m. broke into a shed and a camper. The suspect, however, was scared off by the homeowner before any items could be taken.
