Constantine approves contract for master plan update

The Constantine Village Council last week approved a contract with the Southcentral Michigan Planning Council to serve as consultants to update the village’s Master Plan.

A Master Plan is a document and policy guide designed to help communities create a vision of what they want to look like in the future. The update is expected to take around five months at a cost not to exceed $10,000.

SMPC will develop a public-outreach strategy based on the needs of the village and requirements set forth in the Michigan Planning Enabling Act first. SMPC staff will then review the current Master Plan with the village planning commission and the public at an open meeting and create recommendations for modernization and improvements.
