John Perry, 60

John Allen Perry, age 60, of Centreville, passed away early Thursday evening, July 7, 2022 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
He was born April 4, 1962 in Sturgis, son of the late Richard Earl and Janice Carol (Gest) Perry.
John resided in Centreville for the past 35 years. His early life was lived in Centreville and he was a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1981.
On December 17, 1983 he married Karla Fieberkorn at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sturgis.
Most of John’s working life was in maintenance and he was currently employed by Michigan Roller in Sturgis.
John was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving for 4 years earning the rank of SP4.
John had a true love and appreciation for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on his tractor around his property and he also enjoyed sports. John had interests and hobbies, but what he found the most joy in was time spent with his family, especially his four grandsons.
John is survived by his wife: Karla; daughter: Samantha (Ryan) Brueck of Centreville; son: Zachery (Kasara) Perry of Three Rivers; four grandsons: Gavin, Lucas, Landon and Noah; sister: Carol Simonson of Burr Oak; brothers: David (Sherri) Perry of Three Rivers and Robert (Teresa) Perry of Constantine and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 7:00 on Monday, July 18th at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd. in Sturgis. Full military honors will be conferred by Captain John J. Kelley Post #1355 VFW Honor Guard and the U.S. Army Honor Guard. Private burial of the remains will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis at a later date.
