Johnny “Mike” Thompson, age 57, of Summerville, GA passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Thompson was born September 16, 1964 in Three Rivers to Mildred Diane Ferguson Thompson and the late Charles Thompson. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections and was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Germany. He enjoyed traveling and using computers.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sherry Wicker Thompson; children, Vincent Shannon, Victor Shannon, Veronica Lowe, Stephanie Gibson, Lisa Thompson, Katie Walker, and Crystal Hernandez; mother, Mildred Diane Ferguson Thompson; siblings, Jimmy Thompson, Randy Thompson, and Susie Thompson; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Thompson will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, July 15, 2022 at the chapel of Mason funeral Home with Chaplain Kevin J. Norton officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 2:00 until the service hour.
