Paul Dewayne Miller, age 87, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on June 28, 2022 following an 8-month battle with cancer.
Paul was born May 5, 1935 in Three Rivers, the son of William Miller and Marie Wolsleben Miller.
Paul graduated from Three Rivers High School with the class of 1953.
Paul joined the Army in 1954 and served until honorably discharged in 1957.
Paul married Donna Hamlin on March 21, 1998 at Leonidas Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor David Stevens officiating. Paul and Donna were married for 24 wonderful years. Between them they had 8 children, 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Paul worked for AEP for 42 years, where he had many jobs. After retiring from AEP he went to work for Ridgeway Floral in Three Rivers delivering flowers. He loved that job and his boss Teresa Cytlak. He used to say those 10 years were the best ever. It was the highlight of his day to make someone else’s day by putting a smile on their face when he handed them their flowers.
After moving to Myrtle Beach in 2008, Paul loved to play golf, putt-putt golf, and walks on the beach looking for sharks’ teeth which he was pretty good at finding.
There was not a person that Paul met who didn’t love him. He had a kind heart and a kind word for everyone.
Remaining to cherish Paul’s memory are his wife, Donna, of Myrtle Beach, his children, Brenda Miller of Belleview, Fla., Paula (Tim) Chambers of Wildwood, Fla., Rhonda (Terry) Davenport of Centreville, Heather (Wayne) Wilcox of Three Rivers, Dawn (Mike) Nelson of Laingsburg, Laura Miller of Fort Mill, S.C., brother, Jacob Miller of Vicksburg, sister, Jackie Moorehouse of White Pigeon, stepchildren, Tammy (John) Koupal of Ann Arbor, Robert (Jennifer) Lafler of Niles, Kathy Bragdon and Francis Quake; and several nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Miller; step dad Rex Brooks; sister, Joyce Sherry; daughter, Linda Miller; great-granddaughter Zoey Land; and Barbara Miller and two nephews.
Memorial service and interment of ashes will be at a later date.
Local arrangements by Hohner Funeral Home.
