A Three Rivers-based company provided a notable boost to the Three Rivers Promise last week.
Kadant Johnson pledged $50,000 to the scholarship program. In addition, company officials said Kadant Johnson will match all corporate donations, up to an additional $50,000.
Meanwhile, the company is inviting its employees to donate to the Promise with the guarantee of a matching donation.
Company president Wes Martz said Kadant Johnson is fortunate to have an opportunity to support the youth and families in Three Rivers with such a program. He said investing in the Three Rivers Promise will help build resiliency into the community and offers the potential to change the life trajectory for generations of students to come.
Tom Lowry, Three Rivers Promise Board President, expressed gratitude toward Kadant for its generosity and the potential the offer has to help reach the Promise’s fundraising goal of $3 million.
