Crash victim identified

The identity of an 11-year-old girl who died in a two-car collision last weekend in Constantine Township has been released.

Allison Grant, who completed fifth grade at Riverside Elementary in June, died at the scene of the crash. It occurred at 2:45 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Klett Road and Quaker Street.

Investigators said a 49-year-old woman from Bristol, Ind., was driving south on Klett Road. She told authorities she did not see a stop sign at the Quaker Street intersection and proceeded through the crossroads.

Her vehicle struck an eastbound SUV in which Grant was a passenger.

According to her obituary, Grant enjoyed softball, four-wheeling and bow shooting.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine.
