Guilty plea in Branch County

A Coldwater man pleaded guilty to drug-related offenses during a recent proceeding in Branch County

Circuit Court Judge Bill O’Grady said 27-year-old Dylan Tompkins pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver meth and aggravated stalking.

Sentencing on the 20-year drug felony and five-year stalking charge will be Oct. 10.

With charges stemming from five drug sales, Tompkins came to the attention of police and the Southwest Enforcement Team of the Michigan State Police in January 2021.

Most $25 or $50 sales are quarter grams or grams for individual use.

An undercover agent bought 11.4 grams, 11.2 grams and 8.8 grams over three weeks starting in early 2021.

Meanwhile, during 2021, Tompkins continued to harass and stalk a former girlfriend and her three children in an attempt to get back with them.
