James Edward Beldon, age 89, of Constantine, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at his home. He was born on February 19, 1931 in Plainwell, the son of Amos E. and Doris L. (Hope) Beldon. James was a graduate of Vicksburg High School. He then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict until his honorable discharge in 1953. He was united in marriage to Rose Mary Roberts on June 11, 1953. James worked for many years at Eaton Corporation and also at Village Market and Walmart, where he served as a greeter. He also spent many years farming and enjoying all outdoor activities. He was faithful member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He was preceded in passing by his parents and sister, Jeanette Hopkins.
James is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Rose Mary Beldon; sons, James Paul (Joan) Beldon and Robert Alan (Laurie) Beldon; grandchildren, Jason Beldon, Nathan Huston, Candace Hostetler, Jonathan Beldon, Savanna Beldon, Tammy Geark, Kristal Beldon, and Tim Beldon; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Helen Esmen.
Visitation for James and Rosemary Beldon will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers. Visitation will also be held Friday, September 23, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m.
