Linda Wood, 60

Linda Sue Wood, age 60 of Vicksburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022 at her home.  She was born at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina on Feb. 2, 1962 the daughter of Walter and Hildegard (Halmburger) Harrier. Being a military family, they moved often, and Linda graduated from high school while the family was stationed in California. She moved to Michigan in the early 1990s and worked briefly at Home Depot in Three Rivers, Vaupell in Constantine, and most recently at T-H Plastics in Mendon.  She enjoyed riding Hog motorcycles and gardening.  She was married to Dennis Wood on Jan. 11, 1997. They were later divorced. She was a breast cancer survivor, being diagnosed in 2019.  Linda enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.  She loved animals, especially her wiener-dog, Rocky, who went with her everywhere and thankfully was by her side at the end.

Linda is survived by four children, Nicole (Ken) Darner of Vicksburg, Arlene Ortega and Tiffany Willett both of Modesto, CA, and Nathan (Dana Clay) Wood of Sturgis; step-children, Gregory and Shelby Wood, Christopher Wood, Nicole and Matthew Stabler; seven grandchildren, Dominic and Marcus Darner, Juaquin and Juan Ortega, Isabella and King Marin, and Donovyn George; and by a sister, Michelle Bell-Connell.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and by a sister, Louise Lanter.
