Wanted man taken into custody

A Three Rivers man who eluded authorities following an incident Saturday afternoon was taken into custody Tuesday.

Sheriff Mark Lillywhite said deputies were called shortly before noon Tuesday to an area of Hoffman Road, near Pulver Road in Fabius Township, regarding a suspicious person.

The man turned out to be Kenneth Scott, who was walking with a bicycle alongside the road. He was taken into custody without incident on numerous warrants.

Scott, 33, had previously allegedly barricaded himself inside a unit at Riverside Apartments, in the 1200 block of Hov Aire Drive in Three Rivers. He escaped by breaking through several walls to adjoining apartments and had remained at large for two days.
