Craig Anthony Nelson, age 50, of Sturgis, passed away Sunday morning, October 30, 2022 at his home.
He was born April 17, 1972, son of Robert and Sherry Nelson.
Craig resided most of his life in Sturgis.
He had been employed by the Parma Tube Corporation in Sturgis since 2010. Prior to joining Parma Tube he had worked as a caretaker for mentally challenged individuals in their home.
Craig was a gifted musician and had played in rock bands as a guitarist and lead vocalist.
He is survived by his daughter: Keera Nelson of LaGrange; granddaughters: Aubree and Scarlet Nelson; mother and step-father: Sherry and Bob Andrews of Burr Oak and his girlfriend: Bridget Odisher of Sturgis.
He was preceded in death by his father.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate and honor the life of Craig Nelson will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 Friday, November 11th at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St. in Sturgis.
