Fabius Township supervisor facing several charges

A St. Joseph County official is facing several charges after being accused for sexually assaulting a woman more than 12 years ago.

Fabius Township Supervisor Kenneth Linn was charged with four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel and Kalamazoo County Prosecutor Jeff Getting announced Wednesday.

Linn, 57, is accused of assaulting the female victim while she was physically incapacitated and unable to give consent following an alleged August 2010 incident in Kalamazoo County.

The victim, who was physically injured from the assault, sought medical treatment the next day and a rape kit was performed.

Linn was arraigned at 8th District Court in Kalamazoo before Judge Haenicke.

A pre-exam conference is scheduled for Nov. 3 and a preliminary examination Nov. 10.
