Kim Grossman, 58

Kimberly Sue Grossman, age 58, of Sturgis, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.

She was born June 11, 1964 in Sturgis, daughter of the late Jan Lowell and Gloria Ann (Hagen) Grossman.

Kim resided in the Sturgis and Centreville area most of her life. She was a graduate of Centreville High School with the class of 1982. She furthered her education at the Bronson School of Nursing in Kalamazoo where she earned a diploma and was pinned as a Registered Nurse.

During her nursing career she worked in obstetrics at Bronson Methodist Hospital, the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, and the Michigan Medical Center in Midland. She also worked with Visiting Nurses at Borgess Hospital, specializing in post-natal care, and in Saginaw.

Kim enjoyed attending concerts, traveling; reading historical fiction, politics, Jeopardy and Wednesday night trivia, and she loved caring for her cate, Toulouse.

She is survived by her brother: Trent Grossman of Sturgis; nephew: Ryan Macey; great nephews: Grayson Macey and Carter Macey; aunts: Sue and Jill; cousins: Tracy, Wendy, Heidi, Beth, Johnna and Rebecca and special friends: Kay and Bob and Lynda.

She was preceded in death by her parents and cousin: Romaine.

In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate and honor the life of Kimberly Sue Grossman will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 on Saturday, November 12th at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd. in Sturgis. Private burial of the remains will take place at the Salem Cemetery in rural Sturgis.

  1. Becky and Jill, I am so sorry for your loss. The name Grossman caught my eye. I didn’t know about Romaine or Jan and Gloria.
